Moonwood

This large forest north of Silverymoon is free of goblinoid races. This is due to the large population of lycanthropes, many of whom are members of the People of the Black Blood.

Evermoors

this is a Troll area, he Evermoors are a region of bog-pocketed hills, long rolling vistas, rocky ridges and small peaks hiding deposits of valuable ores, located at the western edge of the Silver Marches. The Evermoors are bound by the River Surbrin and the Lower Rauvin Vale to the north, the River Surbrin and the Surbrin Hills to the west and the Silverwood to the east. To the south and east is open land and the High Forest. The river Laughingflow originates deep within the Evermoors and meets the River Surbrin after it passes though the Surbrin Hills. Evermoor Way, the major route from Yartar to Everlund, passes between the Evermoor and the High Forest. This region had been known for its troll population, however recent history (Present Age) is changing the face of the Evermoors. Humans in general have not bothered to tame this land, being good only for grazing of sheep or rothé and prospecting, both of which the trolls usually stopped. In recent times (1372 DR+) giants have come from the north and are pushing the trolls out of the Evermoors, much to the distress of surrounding countryside.

Silverymoon

"the Gem of the North",[3] for it resembles and emulates the lost elven city of Myth Drannor in many respects. It is one of the few civilized places in the middle of the rough and untamed wilderness that is the North of Faerûn. It has a rich cultural life and is renowned as a meeting place for all races that are morally inclined towards good. Even the occasional drow with good intentions (most notably the famous ranger Drizzt Do'Urden) can eventually find hospitality in the city of Silverymoon

The place regularly has 5 or 10 guests a night but can hold up to 20. People are turned out if they stay for a tenday unless they are Dwarves or friends of Kerrilla. Healing is provided to good folks in return for services such as volunteering for the militia or doing a job for the town or the abbey itself.

Vandarhouse

A simple barn that its half-orc proprietress Vandar runs as an inn. She is not a kind person and gladly charges 3 silver pieces for the 'privilege' of sleeping on a cold, damp, pallet for a night. She charges an extra 2 silver pieces if one wishes to have a meal of hardtack and broth and an extra siver piece for a mug of the cheapest ale she can get her hands on. She and her band of ruffians pay off a few of the town guards so that they are free to steal from those who might bring anything of value into the 'inn' while they sleep.

Snowtown

This is what the shanty town that has sprung up outside the village has become known as. A maze of ramshackle huts that has become a haven for illegal goings-on. During the day, most of the place is empty while everyone is out prospecting. By night it become rowdy as most of the occupants take to drink and drugs. Prostitution, gambling and other vices have also started appearing more recently in addition to the theft and claim-jumping problems that have been associated with snowtown since its inception. Deadsnows jail has become full of residents of Snowtown as a result.

Moonwood

A large, dense forest dominated by evergreens, shadowtops, and duskwoods, the Moonwood is home to few natural predators and no orcs or goblinoids. Its southern fringes are peaceful enough home to small bands of moon elves and wood elves who roam its green depths and fair meadows, as well as the rustic homes of woodcutters and trappers. The northern depths are a different matter—there, the woods become darker, thcker, and more overgrown, and the People of the Black Blood hunt. The Moonwood is a little over a hundred miles from north to south, and approximately 60 miles wide in the Northern parts. It tapers down to the south west.

Jalanthar

is a hamlet located on the Everlund to Sundabar (Trail) and was once a stop on the Rauvin River situated between the Moon Pass and Everlund. In recent years the hamlet relocated from the south bank of the river to the foothills north of the river after repeated orcs raids. These have been overrun on multiple occasions, but the inhabitants retreated to safety into the mountains. Many of the new buildings are built directly into the hillside and are covered with turf to resist burning. Additionally they have strong doorway to resist battering. Currently the defenses are boosted by a troop of the Argent Legion camping in the old ruins. Most of the current inhabitants are trappers and hunters. In addition to the fur trade, they hire themselves out as guides.

Nesmé

is a small city located in the Savage Frontier of Northwest Faerûn, situated on the River Surbrin, that is ruled by First Speaker Tessarin Alaurun. It had a permanent population of around 6,000 residents, during high trade season that number usually increased as much as 50%. Lately though,[as of when?] this has not been the norm; because of raids from trolls and the frost giants the population has fallen below 2000 people. Most of Nesmé's economy centers around trade and the city's economic interests have invested heavily in a strong defense of its community.
